07.10.18 - Visit Greenland in the winter season

If you dream about seeing Greenland in its white winter coat, driving a dogsled, seeing the northern lights, the Ice Sheet and much more besides, then you should choose a holiday in the winter season from January until April. By this time the period of total winter darkness will be over and the sun will be higher and higher in the sky for every passing day.

Spring begins in the middle of April, and it will no longer possible to ride on a dogsled at this time. On the other hand, it is easier to get around on foot. At this time of year you can experience some incredibly beautiful days.

If this sounds enticing, then Greenland Travel in Copenhagen has recently put together three excellent packages for a winter holiday in Greenland:

Adventure near the Ice Sheet
Greenland might not be the obvious destination for a ‘city break’, but here is something that gets pretty close: A long weekend break in Kangerlussuaq! A short, intense and reasonably-priced break in Greenland at a hostel with full-board. The country’s rich wildlife, dogsled trips, the Ice Sheet and other exciting activities await you.
Tour 9011 - prices from DKK 6,500
Departure between 1 February – 3 June 2008. 5 days/4 nights.
