07.04.23 - Record attempt in dice throwing from Nuuk

The attempt will be carried out by a pilot who will throw two huge dice out of a helicopter over Lille Malene – one of the town’s distinctive mountains that lies opposite the airport in Greenland’s capital.



The Air Greenland helicopter pilot Thomas Glätzl and the betting company Gnuf are behind the record attempt, in which two dice measuring 2.2 x 2.2 x 2.2 metres (7 feet 3 inches) will be thrown out of an Air Greenland AS-350 helicopter.

The event is being held to promote the new betting site, www.gnuf.com, which is expected to offer odds on which numbers the dice end up on when they have rolled down the mountainside on Lille Malene.

The throwing of the dice will be carried out at a safe distance from Nuuk’s popular ski lifts, where the Sisorarfiit club has its green/red and black slopes.
