Sulisartut Højskoliat

With a panoramic view of the lake known as Storesøen on the leeward side of the mountain in Qaqortoq, you will find Sulisartut Højskoliat. The folk high school was originally built both to give young workers and other students from the town and settlement a general education and to provide courses for the labour movement’s members, employees and shop stewards. However, in recent years the facilities have been updated and the school has to an increasing extent been used as a course and conference centre. Guests are accommodated in rooms or small apartments depending on their wishes and needs.

Catering as per agreement
Sulisartut Højskoliat is able to offer various solutions in terms of catering in collaboration with the town’s restaurants – ranging from international cuisine based on local ingredients to a more basic menu.

Conference facilities
Sulisartut Højskoliat has an auditorium and several meeting rooms that enable meetings and small conferences to be held in a flexible manner. The rooms are equipped with AV projector, Internet access and standard AV equipment. Special AV equipment is available on request.

Sulisartut Højskoliat can cater for traditional day or all-day meetings, as well as trips and activities with professional content organised in collaboration with Qaqortoq Tourism.

Capacity
Sulisartut Højskoliat can accommodate 18 people in single rooms and 8 people in double rooms. In addition, there are 21 beds without toilet and shower. The conference facilities can cater for up to 40 people in the same room, although a larger conference room can be requested via Sulisartut Højskoliat’s business partners.

The high school works closely with Hotel Qaqortoq and Qaqortoq Hostel, which each offer different types of overnight accommodation at a range of different prices, and in collaboration with these establishments and the town’s restaurants, the school can organise large meetings and small conferences.
