Hotel Qaqortoq

Centrally located at the waterfront close to all the town’s facilities and attractions, Hotel Qaqortoq is run by Ove Lauersen and Beinta Sørensen, whose kindness and welcoming nature ensure that both meetings and holiday stays always run pleasantly and smoothly. There is a view of the harbour and the fjord from the majority of the hotel’s rooms, whilst the other guests can enjoy the sight of the attractive town and the surrounding mountains. The hotel has a restaurant, bar and meeting facilities.

Restaurant, bar and café area
The hotel’s restaurant offers international cuisine with focus on local ingredients and a fine view of the harbour and fjord. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The bar, which is fitted out like a pub, is next to reception and is open from noon to midnight.

The café area is situated just below reception and provides guests with a view of the harbour from the sofa area or the terrace.

Conference facilities
Hotel Qaqortoq has a large conference room with a flexible layout such that it can be reconfigured into 3 individual rooms, and is equipped with AV projector, Internet access, conference telephone and standard AV equipment. Special AV equipment is available on request.

Hotel Qaqortoq can cater for traditional day or all-day meetings, as well as trips and activities with professional content organised in collaboration with Qaqortoq Tourism.

Capacity
The hotel can accommodate 21 guests in single rooms or 42 guests in double rooms. The conference facilities can cater for up to 120 people in the same room.

Hotel Qaqortoq has established cooperation with the folk high school, Sulisartut Højskoliat, which has conference facilities with an auditorium that can seat up to 80 people. Along with the town’s other overnight accommodation facilities and restaurants, Qaqortoq is able to host large meetings and small conferences. All rooms are furnished with twin beds.

Facilities
The rooms have TV, radio and telephone. During the course of 2007 satellite TV will be installed, as will Internet access via network. In addition, there is a lounge, restaurant, bar, solarium and the chance to book a massage provided by a trained physiotherapist.
